Case 3 - Neil Southern

My medical history is long and complex. Twelve years ago I had an operation to lengthen and straighten my leg with an external fixator. The results were good but it did take 18 months to get back to normal.

In January 2011 I was jogging down the Pentonville road in London when my leg went from under me, it had broken again across the old fracture site. Two months earlier I had just got a new job in London and I was still in my probationary period, I needed a quick fix so that I did not lose my job.

I contacted my previous surgeon who now only worked privately and he recommended Mr Davis. Ben evaluated all the options and said my recovery would be a lot quicker to have internal fixation - I was operated on that week.

Recovery has been very quick and Ben has also straightened my leg so that my knee now extends properly and to prevent it breaking again.

Ben is a talented surgeon who I am most grateful to for the operations he has performed. He got me back on my feet very quickly. I only took one week sick leave and was commuting back to London within the month. His advice and skills have ensured I did not lose my job because of incapacity.
If I ever need any more orthopaedic work done I would try to contact Ben first.

Thank you,

Neil
